Media Stand
“She may not look like much but she’s got it where it counts, kid.”
This little piece clocks in at just over six inches tall but packs a ton of fun joinery details. Through-tenons create contrasting end grain and structural integrity. That integrity is important because vinyl records weigh a lot more than we expect, and let’s be honest: it’s fun to put them on display.
Records, magazines, books, holiday cards, photographs…this little stand can display them so your guests can peruse them. It’s understated and always commands a second or a third glance.
We’ve made these out of a ton of different wood species. Pictured here is the original in red oak, finished with water-based poly to give it a Scandinavian-inspired minimalist feel.
